Over the past decade as a counsellor,

I’ve witnessed something truly remarkable:

the resilience and strength of the human spirit.

There’s an immense sense of privilege & satisfaction in helping someone navigate a challenging situation or witness their growth as they heal.

Unlock your potential for positive change
Jules at Counselling with Jules, Plymouth

Confession time: I wasn’t always the confident person you see today. Once, crippling anxiety and depression had me convinced I was utterly unworthy. But a nagging voice whispered, “This can’t be true.” My past wasn’t perfect, but it didn’t justify such intense shame. It ignited a spark – a journey to understand the root of my self-loathing.

The path wasn’t clear. Doubt gnawed at me, and quitting felt easier than pushing forward. Yet, I persevered. Therapy offered valuable tools, and introspection became my compass. It wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows; it was hard work, with a lot of self-reflection, and a lot of healing. But gradually, I emerged, stronger and more authentic.

Now, as a counsellor, I aim to guide others on their journeys to self-discovery & healing. And perhaps, along the way, I can share some of the hard-won wisdom I gained on mine.

My vision is centred around creating a warm and welcoming environment where clients can experience a meaningful and transformative relationship.

My ultimate goal is to provide a safe space where authenticity and connection are cherished, allowing individuals to embrace their true selves without any worries of being judged or rejected. I am dedicated to promoting acceptance and understanding, fostering personal growth and healing, and helping every client reach their fullest potential.

I firmly believe that every person deserves to be truly seen, heard, and valued. That’s why I’m committed to providing compassionate care that supports the well-being of the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. My vision goes beyond just being a counsellor; I strive to become a trusted partner on each client’s unique journey towards greater self-awareness, self-acceptance, and self-love. With unwavering support and guidance, I’m here to walk alongside you every step of the way.

Here, we create a space where being yourself is celebrated, flaws and all.

Forget stuffy suits and stiff formalities.

Here’s what you get with me: comfy clothes, genuine conversation, and a counsellor who isn’t afraid to be vulnerable.

Laughter, tears, and real talk are all welcome.

I’m not a guru with all the answers, but a passionate guide ready to learn and grow alongside you.

So, let’s ditch the pretence and have genuine conversations about life’s challenges with honesty, empathy, and maybe a sprinkle of humour.

Authenticity is key. I’m a real person, with tattoos, colourful phrasing, etc. This creates a space where you can be yourself too. If you’re searching for a warm, compassionate, and somewhat unconventional counsellor, let’s chat!
