Live Your Best Life
Unleash Your True Self and Live a Life of Meaning and Authenticity
Because a life lived with confidence & authenticity
is a life well lived.
When you’re authentic, life gets easier because it comes naturally. You feel comfortable in your own skin. No worrying what others think, no more self-monitoring, no need to please. Just an inherent belief and trust that you’re ok just as you are.
… & the everyday stuff stops being so damn hard & painful.
Pretending you’re someone or something you’re not, isn’t only exhausting, but it also wounds you deep in your core. Producing shame, anxiety, guilt, self-loathing, depression and more.
As if you need any more of that crap to deal with!
What’s getting in the way of you just being yourself?
OR ALL OF THE ABOVE?
Anyway, that’s enough of that! Here’s the good news: The majority of these barriers are self-imposed. They are Survival Mechanisms. Which means you have the power to change them.
I will teach you how to harness the resources you already have inside and use them to help you heal and move forward.
Being yourself might have got you in trouble in the past. It might have brought you rejection, ridicule, shame and pain. Leading you to hide your ‘true colours’, or what you believe are your true colours.
You’re the adult now. You don’t need those survival mechanisms anymore. You did when you were a child or in that abusive relationship, but not now. You can take care of yourself. You’ve got you, and that’s all you need to survive in this world. Even though there will probably be some parts of you that need convincing.
How empowering is that?!?!!
I know it seems a lot, and it is. However, I want to reassure you that you don’t have to do it all and perhaps never could. Just working on some of it will make all the difference.
If you’re anything like me, there’s no way you could fix everything. Not in this lifetime. But, I can help you get off to a good start. You should start seeing results fairly soon thereafter. Just consider yourself a work in progress.
My main focus is on healing. I’m not a great believer in addressing the problem directly. Although, it’s sometimes necessary, as a means of symptom management in the shorter term.
I see the problems as symptoms of a deeper issue. They are, of course, the starting point. The signpost if you will. After all, these symptoms are the reason you’re seeking therapy in the first place.
I won’t bore you with a list of the therapies/methods I use. So, I will just say this; I favour therapeutic approaches based on authentic relationship, attachment, healing, self-awareness, self-expression, emotions, self-acceptance and compassion. I might even throw in some theory now and again.
I work creatively, using visualisation, guided imagery and a variety of methods old and new. It’s about finding what works best for you and tailoring it to fit.
